Chevrolet Silverado 2014-Present: Lift Kit Reviews
Deciding which lift kit will be best for your needs can be difficult. This article contains reviews and opinions of many major brands allowing you to compare and contrast each kit by price, performance, and ratings for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
This article applies to the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2014-present).
Lift kits come in a variety of forms. Some are made to simply level the truck while others create enough space between the wheel and fender to install 37"+ tires. Depending on your wants and needs, you may be after a kit that provides a better cosmetic appearance, or perhaps you're after that 7" lift making your truck capable of scaling some of the worst terrain. As with all aftermarket parts, someone other than the manufacturer has done the engineering. Turning to the brands that have proven successful in suspension system design ensure you will have a safe, dependable suspension lift kit.
If you decide to run tires larger than 10% of the original OEM tires, you will need a speedometer calibration. After installing the lift kit, the truck will need an alignment. The headlights will need to be adjusted as well.
Depending on the year and options of your Chevrolet Silverado, it may have aluminum or steel control arms. Knowing which type you have is important as many brands need this information to supply you with the correct kit.
