What about the pinion gear?

Uh, it was a joke. Rather clever one, at that.

For you guys that have already done some towing....did you have to get a new drop bar for your receiver since it is higher than previous years. From the ground to the receiver on my '01 was about 14.75 inches. The new '07 it is 22 inches. What have you done?

On my 2000"new" tahoe I had to use a raised 2 1/2 inch receiver but with the 07 I had to go with a 5 1/4 drop receiver.

I use a drop receiver. That's the cheapest solution.

I love this product, I've used it for a few years now towing my sleds around. I tow around 6K with it and have nothing but good things to say about it.

I love the hitch, but dam they are proud of it! I dont tow enough to spend that kind of money on a hitch. Thanks for the information though.

I paid $189.00 for mine, and it is just a little bit different. So far I have to say it's worth it. It's made of aluminum so it's light weight compared to a steel receiver.

I towed a smaller UHaul trailer this summer from Texas to North Carolina. I am not sure how much it weighed pretty light I figure because I got about 16 mpg.

Dave he is a question for you. Does the tow/haul mode still allow the trans to go into overdrive, just at a higher speed?

I ask because in my Dodge truck, Tow/Haul adjusts all the shift points, holding on to the gear for longer to keep the engine in the higher power range and allow for better tranny performance. Works great for racing, too. In the Tahoe I haven't noticed if it will do that.
