I just drove home in a 99 Silverado ex cab truck. It is nice. I did notice some sort of miss at takeoff. Does this engine (5.7) have a distributor? It has something back there where it is supposed to be. I know I'll change the plugs and wires before long.

If it's a 5.7 Conventional engine, It has a distributor.

It is a Vortec. If it looks like I don't know my Chevys, this my 1st Chevy truck. Closest thing I've had to this is a 89 Astro with a 4.3.
