I was driving my 96 cavalier and all my electric systems slowly drained (dash lights dim, head lights, radio, etc). Assuming (and hoping) it was just the battery going bad I replaced it and all my systems now seem to work fine but my battery light is still on. I have not drived it much (maybe 10 minutes) since I changed the battery. I did notice that if I rev the engine up while in neutral, the battery light will go off. But as soon as the engine revs back down it comes back on.

I'm probably going to take it in and have the alternator checked out, but if this is normal behavior after replacing a battery, maybe I will wait a little longer. Opinions?
