I have an 85 monte carlo LS, edlebrock perf rpm cam and air gap manifold, holley 650 cfm carb, vaccum advance distributor, headers, dual exhaust, And im planning on getting a supercharger. My question is, If i hook the distributor up to the vaccum port, How will it work when it starts making boost? will it retard my timing, or does it have some kind of one way check valve?

Bump. Also, Does anyone know the weight of a stock 85 ls? some say 3000 or less, some say 3500 or more, I know its a light car. I also have my interior stripped to metal and no ac and a bunch of other underhood crap is gone, Including the heat and blower motor and smog pump. It also has headers so the whole stock exhaust is gone and the headers just have cheap mufflers and turnouts so that is a lot lighter than stock.
