I have a 99 silverado ex cab and i recently encountered a problem, i have no brake lights but the bulbs, fuses relays and brake switch seems to be working fine. has anyone had this prob and can give me an idea where to check?

DO YOU HAVE TAIL LIGHTS? IF SO ,WHEN THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE ON, DO THEY GO OFF WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED? IF THIS HAPPENS THEN ITS PROBABLY A BAD GROUND.

I had a problem similar to this in my monte carlo and it turned out to be a bad turn signal switch. i would not have brake lights unless i wiggled the turn signal switch around a bit. could be the same problem.
