Okay folks, new kids here so take it easy on me...

I''ve replaced the battery in my key fob transmitter but I can''t get the thing to resynch. I''ve tried holding the buttons down (lock/unlock) for a bit... did the resynch of ON/OFF/ON/OFF holding the lock/unlock buttons down (on the fob) and still nothing.

I opened her back up and checked all the connections and they look good, even checked to be sure I put the battery in the right way... nothing...

what am i doing wrong??

In order to resynchronize the transmitter with the PDM, perform the following steps:

1.
Stand within 1.5 meters (5 ft) from the vehicle.

2.
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter for 7 seconds.

The door locks should cycle in order to confirm resynchronization.

That''s it? It seems too simple. No ON/OFF of the ignition switch? I''m sorry to be a pain but I really DON''T want to take it to the dealership because they''ll charge me an arm and a leg.
