One problem is that the Denso programmers are all Japanese and the GM platform engineers are all American, the Denso guys are genius but much is getting lost in translation and so forth, they'll get it right (eventually).

Ditto here. Thought I was doing something wrong. Can't wait for the update.

ZX, have you heard anything about this update for the radio that they are working on? Thanks.

Has anyone been able to have their radio successfully updated to fix the problems stated here? It is annoying having to change the EQ each time i want to set it for a different source.

sounds like once it's in talk mode you can only switch out by touching an adjustment button. Doesn't say anything about it going back to an already set, custom one. If I change sources it will pick up where that source was set before (old setting saved). If I hit the TALK button that is the new setting for what I'm on but shouldn't effect other sources right?... You read it and tell me???? Quote from manual (appendage for Nav unit)... Automatic Equalization If the system has automatic equalization, you can select customized equalization settings designed for Talk. Touch the Talk screen button to hear the change in sound. The system will save the setting for each source. To not use the automatic equalization setting, press any of the screen buttons that will change the treble, midrange, bass, balance, or fade. This will take the system out of the equalization setting so that you can create your own sound. I've read this 5 times and get a different opinion each time. Now I think you can customize the talk setting only??? ARGH My 6 disc in dash DOES IN FACT save for each source. I'm now convinced the NAV does NOT.

The problem is that my Nav unit does not maintain EQ settings for each source. If I set it for a specific source, it sets it that way for every source. I was wondering if anyone else with this problem had the dealer successfully update the radio software to fix it.

ORIGINAL: ZX1100F1 The sub is a 6.5" dual voice coil speaker and the amp is about 10" long, roughly 5"wide and about 2.5" thick. Where is the AMP located??

I have a 2007 LT without the Bose system, standard radio non Nav. As for the option codes I do not have the Bose amp. What do I have? Thanks for any info.
