1997 2500 G Van- Hard Start After Rain? - 9/13/2008 6:53:30 AM    dceraul   Posts: 1 Joined: 9/13/2008 Status: offline I have a 1997 2500 G van. 350, Autotrans. Went to start my van this AM and it starts and idles rough and stalls- It kinda sputters and runs-on and stalls? I did smell a faint odor of gasoline? This occurred approx. 8 months ago and I replaced the cap and rotor. Hadn''t had the problem until today. I will add It sat in my yard for 2-3 days (the lawn is cut-not overgrown) and it has rained failry hard. Approx. 4 months ago I replaced the cpu. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the problem. I do remember last time this occurred (before the cap and rotor) I would have to lift the hood and just let it "dry out" and then it would start. Any assistance would br greatly appreciated! Spray the cap, all the wires, and coil. Watch for sparks or see what causes the engine to sputter then replace it _____________________________ If you have a question, ask it in the forums.
