I have a 2003 3.4 Impala and it has just started running hot.Coolant level is fine. The upper hose does get hot,but not the lower hose.Does this engine have the reverse flow water pump on it? Where is the thermostat located on this model?
Thanks

Ask the dealer, the temp gauge is always located on the front of the driver, behind the steering wheel. Check the engines, maybe your exhaust parts need some replacement. Check your header pipe, the air inside your engine and car maybe too hot for the vehicle to handle already.
