I've got an 88 s-10, and a problem. I got in it last week, turned the key...nada. No clicks, no cranks, nothing. Lights, horn, etc. work, so I don't think it's a battery issue. Just got finished replacing the starter. The new starter worked in the parts shop (I had them hook it up to make sure). So, new starter, got in, turned the key...nada. After a few choice words, I pushed it back in the driveway, put up my tools, and found this forum. Can someone PLEASE suggest where I should look for a problem now? Thanks Frog

Check and clean all the battery cables first. Check the battery as well ... just because the lights and horn work doesn't mean there is enough amps to turn the starter. Then check and clean all wires at the starter. If all these are clear then check wiring from start solenoid back to key. See if it will work in neutral.... if it does then likely the park/neutral safety switch is faulty.
