If your looking for answers to your automotive interior questions, then I''m here to help. I''ve been in the automotive interior repair business since 1999, and prior to that did exterior restoration for about 4 years. So theres not alot of repairs that have haven''t done. If you need anything don''t hesitate to ask, I love my job because I get to fix peoples problems. If you need immediate help with a project or damaged peice in your vehicle don''t hesitate to come see me at Automotive Interior Repair with The Interior Guy. Or of course drop me a note in here and I''ll help you the best I can. I noticed a few posts on the Chevy dashes peeling, this is a pretty common occurrance unfortunately. What that is, is the water based dye peeling. What has happened is some sort of solvent has gotten on the dash, like a cleaner of some sort and has lifted the dye. Solvents and water based dyes don''t mix. Even the some spray dyes in the rattle cans are solvent based and can damage it further if applied. So if this is happening to your dash, there is a fix, but not in a sovlent based rattle can. You will need to use a waterbased dye to match, a can of Sems Sand Free, and a 400 grit sandpaper. Spray the sandpaper with the Sems Sand Free and sand the area lightly to remove the edge. Clean the area thoroughly with a vinyl prep then dye. Hope this helps guys. Talk to you soon. Mike "TIG"
