I was just at a stop light when my door locks were going from lock to unlock by itself.  It did it once, then did it like 10 times in a row by itself.  I noticed that the car was going from Drive to Park while it was doing this.  I check the shifter in case it I didn''t have it locked in, still happened.  Put it down a gear to 3 and it would still erratically do this.

Light turned green and as I am driving it happens 5 more times.  The truck shuttered a little and I noticed that the MPG was going from 8 to 99 as the car was doing this, leaving me to believe it was going into Park?

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?  I can''t get to the dealership until tomorrow and it freaks me out that it might be shifting itself into Park while driving.

Do you have any aftermarket electronics installed? i.e. alarm, bypasses, radio

I have seen an alarm bypass module cause the lock/unlock you speak of. We didnt notice the shifting issue because we didn''t have the truck running. The gentleman (other local shop, that shouldn''t be installing) didn''t have a good ground and the bypass module was sending some weird info via the data wire. Regrounded the module and problem stopped instantly.

Nothing.  All stock equipment.  I did call a buddy that works at the dealer and he hasn''t seen one come in for that.  The tranny tech said it was ok to drive, but it might go into a "power protection mode" and only go 30 MPH.  Taking it there tomorrow.  I will post back what they find.

I know its an easy out but always check the battery, and e is right about a loose ground, with all the electronics a loose ground can cause all kinds of funky things to happen.
And yes let us know what they find.

I had almost the same problem you have on my 07...the door locks were locking and unlocking by themselves, the tranny was shifting really hard, the dash was lit up like a x-mas tree...turned out to be a bad Body Control Module(BCM)...the dealership replaced it under warranty and no problems since

Just got the call from the dealer.  The Transmission Range Switch that is bolted on the side of the tranny shorted out and caused the issue.  Not exactly sure what it does, but I imagine it tells the door locks to unlock and the display to show P R N D ....

Well that transmission range switch didn''t get it.  It happened again today.  I think it is the BCM like yours Summit because the Truck actually cuts off like it died, but it does it so fast that it fires back up again.  The dash goes crazy when it happens.  Back to the dealer on Monday.

The dealer sent me away with nothing fixed.  They could not replicate the problem or find any error codes so they did nothing.  I guess I dreamt the whole thing.  Well the best thing that can happen to me now is having the entire truck quit working because I think it is completely unsafe to drive.
