Tow Rating for Hybrid Silverado? - 8/18/2008 6:18:46 PM    Dixielou   Posts: 5 Joined: 8/13/2008 Status: offline Has anyone seen the tow ratings for the 2009 Hybrid Silverado? I have heard the Tahoe Hybrid has a tow rating of only 6200 lbs., and this is with the 6.0L V8 AFM and a continous electric ratio hybrid transmission with four fixed gears.  I would hope the Silveradoi can tow more than 6200 lbs.  MPG for the Silverado Hybrid 2WD is said to be 21 city and 22 hwy. _____________________________ Dixielou Post #: 1

Those power figures were previously restricted to the Cadillac Escalade and GMC Sierra Denali. The new engine will only be available with a 3.42 rear axle, and towing will be limited to 9,300 pounds.
