I have a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban 5.7L. I do not hear the fuel pump come on and my ECM-1 (Injectors, PCM/VCM) fuse blows as soon as I turn they key. Is this something (the fuse blowing) that happens when the pump is bad, or do I have a short that caused my pump to go out?

What can I do to begin to diagnose the problem? Thanks

disconnect the fuel pump at the tank, replace the fuse and crank the engine. If the fuse does not blow, the fault is the fuel pump, if not, it is something else that is on that circuit
