i''m curious if a factory radio out of an 08 silverado would fit in my 05? and if so, would it have to be programmed?

hate to say it but i agree - i just took a nav unit out of an 06 suburban and installed it into my silverado - if you want something for your 05 - it needs to come out of an 03-06

05-06 if u want the touchscreen version, and it can''t come out of a yukon denali or escalade....unless you want to change out the Bose amp as well. mine came out of a z-71 tahoe and works fine.
