Steering 94 - 8/15/2008 2:15:24 AM    waltd140   Posts: 23 Joined: 6/28/2007 Status: offline Car has an issue going left, but not right. Seems to bind going left, like the power steering pump is not working. This happens to be worse the slower you go. It''s fine going right. Any suggestions on what it could be? Post #: 1

All it''s gonna do is provide pressure, no matter what side you''re turning to. If it was me, I''d try draining the fluid and run some Seafoam through it to clean the system out. Re-fill with fresh fluid and see if it works. Is the fluid in the pump resevoir dirty or have anything in it, like metal shavings? Seafoam is cheap, and worth a try (in my opinion) since you may be looking at a rack replacement. _____________________________ 1996 Cavalier Coupe 163,000 miles, 35 MPG!
