If anyone is interested, I just bought a loaded 2006 Impala SS which listed for $30,332 and I paid $23,990. It has leather, moon roof and I guess all the options. I looked at them earlier this year and they would only come off sticker a couple of grand, must be getting nervous keeping them on the lots. I like the car but it is a serious GAS HOG. It does not get anything near the mileage they advertise. Around town (little town) lots of stop and go and short trips 1 to 3 miles, it gets 10 to 12 mph, on the highway around 23 mph driving conservative.
