2003 Trailblazer has an intermitent problem where both running lights (low beam headlights) will go out while driving. I immediately checked both fuses (both tested good) and changed both just to be certain. One time the running lights started working after changing the fuses (a coincidence?). Now lights are out again and the fuses are good. How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Check all your connections for the lights and make sure they are tight and corrosion free.

I checked light connections; everything is tight and no corrosion is present. Problem of both low beam headlights going out simultaneously continues. Lights will go back on after Headlamp Driver Module relay (46) has been removed and re-installed.

Glensy, I did this on my 06 TB....I switched the HDM relay with the fan relay beside it. The lights came back on!! I went to the dealership and bought a new relay and so far , it seems to have cured it.
I had to ressurect this post to say thanks!!!

Guys, thanks for the fix!  I also replaced the relay on my '06 TB and the lights came right back on.

yeah, for those whose lights go out suddenly and wont come back on. you can temporarily swap the fan relay with the headlight relay to get you out of a bind...
