Alternator problem? - 7/18/2008 9:18:37 AM    tony779   Posts: 1 Joined: 7/18/2008 Status: offline I have a 2000 Suburban and I seem to be having an electrical system problem but cannot seem to isolate it. My low battery/voltage indicator lights up at different times, accelerating, decelerating, or just cruising. I recently replaced the alternator, which was bad but I was having the same problem and it checked good about a month before it finally died. Is there something in the line somewhere that might be restricting or not restricting and it is frying my alternator? When I put a multimeter on it, everything reads OK. This one has me puzzled. Rig it up to a cigarette lighter adaptor and plug it in the the light is on to see if the alternator is accually charging or not. _____________________________ If you have a question, ask it in the forums.
