I just bought a Peripheral Electronics (www.pheripheralelectronics.com) PXDP Universal iPod interface and a PXHGM1 wiring harness for the 1999 Cavalier. This should allow me to use my iPod through my radio and car speakers. Is there a specific CD changer cable run to the trunk where I should attach this or is it on the back of the radio? I assume it''''s on the back of the radio but I certainly wouldn''''t want to tear apart the dash only to fine that it was all unnecessary. Has anyone done this or something similar? Any caveats? Any recommendations before I dive into this? BTW, I tried a ''''Monster'''' type cable for playing the iPod over FM radio stations. It worked fine in the country but there are just too many radio stations here in the Houston area. Note also, I said it worked ''''fine'''' but not great. I would really prefer a hard wired solution. Any and all advice appreciated! Thanks! Jay Meinen 99 Z24 Cavalier Convertible

OK... I finally got the hardware installed. It fit perfectly. The iPod shows a charge when connected but does not play over the speakers. I have the dip switches set to 3 and 8 ''On.'' I press the ''CD/Aux'' button and the CD will work but the iPod does not. Anyone have any experience with this?
