Hit a puddle and car stalled

Hit a big puddle this morning in my 05 Malibu.  I know there is no mass air flow sensor.  The car starts but dies almost instantly.  And ideas what this can be?

Bad coil or spark plug wires?

If there is a small crack in the coil or a bad wire, the water from the puddle would have caused the spark to jump to ground through the water instead of going to the spark plug
