rabidrats -> ever have to space a torque converter / older trans newer flexplate? (7/4/2008 10:42:56 AM)

i put a 65 283 in a 63 nova wagon with the origional trans. it shifts out of first way to fast puting the load on the engine. is there a different offset on older flexplates or transmissions?
