Swapping 03-up 4.8L into 84 Chevy SWB.  Originally 250 Straight 6/3 spd manual, single gas tank.  Trying to do swap as cheap as possible.  03 up 4.8L/4L60 trans-100% stock.  Immediate issue is the fuel system.  Can''t afford a Rock Valley Fuel tank, adapting stock system to work with externally mounted electric fuel pump.  Any input on which fuel pump would work?  Looking at Summit''s part# SUM-G3137.  Any thoughts?  Is there a cheaper OEM alternative? Looking to use this in conjunction with 99-up Vette fuel filter that will allow a single fuel line to engine and the filter to return excess fuel to tank (kit from Street & Performance - hotrodlane.cc).  Big prob here is that the filter is $72 from Chevy dealer but I cannot find the fittings needed to adapt the fuel filter other than from S&P.  They want $40 per fitting & I need 3!  Anyone know where or how I can do this cheaper? From tank I will flare factory 3/8" line & use AN-6 tube nut/sleeves make alum hard line into pump - into fuel filter assembly - to engine.  I was told the return line does not need to be hi-pressure line & I could even run a good rubber line for the return.  Is this true?  Thanks for all help!
