I sold my 1998 Blazer LT in 2004 and purchased an Acura MDX. The primary reason I moved from a Chevrolet was the increase in seat height of the Trail Blazer vs. the Blazer.

I have a grown son who has Cebral Palsey and has difficulty getting into a vehicle if the top of the seat is too high off the ground. My old Blazer was OK. His preference was the 1995 S-10 pickup I had before the 1998 Blazer.

I have been reading about the Trail Blazer SS. In the material it says that the height of the SS is lowered compared to the standard Trail Blazer. Can anyone give me any idea just how much the seat height has changed?

What about overall comments on the SS? How is the fuel economy? The MDX is not very good for a 6 cylinder. I get 16-17 around town and 20-21 on the road. We take my wife's 2005 Cadillac DHS on trips because that Northstar v-8 is great and we can get 25mpg overall on a long trip.

I have had many Chevy's over the years and would like to get back into another.

All replies appreciated.

Wrong vehicle for you if you care about milage. It has the Corvette LS2 motor. I'm getting 11 to 13 mpg on Premium. It is so much fun to drive and I like it a lot but it doesn't sound as though you would like it.
