I have a 1987 chevy fullsize blazer with a 700r4 tranny...I noticed a couple weeks ago while changing fluid and gasket someone took out the wiring for the lockup..I''m driving a couple of miles to work and I''m keeping it in drive cause I know with out it it''ll burn up.I''ll be getting it fixed soon..I adjusted the detent cable to wot like it should be. Now starting from a dead stop it shifts fine from 1st to 2nd I have to let off the gas for it to shift to 3rd . When it does shift it shifts hard.Could this be the governor or a spring broke ?When I''m coming to a stop it acts like it is searching for what gear its to be in or something ..I was on my way home today an heard like a small noise like the blower motor was on and started looking for it and it was coming from the hump under the 4x4 shifter.Could this be the torque convertor or what ? This starting to drive me crazy....... Any help would be appreciated........
