i have a chevy small block and i''m having trouble locating a dipstick for it. my dipstick goes all the way down into the pan on the drivers side. there is a spot for it to go into the block but it seems to be capped off. nobody seems to know what i''m talking about. i pulled the numbers off the block casting #- looks like 3970010 but the first zero is hard to read and looks like it might be a 3 or a 9. stamped #- MB29800 a made in mexico block
