2001 tie rod/steering knuckle problem - 6/30/2008 4:56:54 PM    jonmad99   Posts: 1 Joined: 6/30/2008 Status: offline I have a 2001 impala. I just replaced the tie rod ends in my car. (tire dealer said they were bad.) The bolts where the tie rod connects to the steering knuckle are extremely loose. The castle nut goes way up past the cotter key hole and the tie rods still are not tight. One tie rod showed some signs of wear but the other seemeed fine. is it possible that the steering knuckle holes have worn? And how much is it to replace them (myself and dealer)? Post #: 1

I personally have never seen stering knuckles warped or be too big, unless cause by an accident _____________________________ If you have a question, ask it in the forums.
