I lowered the back end of my 2001 silverado with DJM lowering shackels and now my leaf springs are squeaking badly, even when i get out of the truck and shut the door they squeak all the time any idea how to stop it.

you have bushings inside the spring yokes and inter-leaf inserts/spacers. donno if it''s the right terms, but you know what i am talking about. if i were you, i''d disassemble the springs and lub any shiny areas (rubbing) and bushings and inserts with that gmc wunder grease with ptfa. will last some time, then dirt will do it''s job again. i''ve seen sheaths made for leaf springs to prevent dirt from getting on them. for quick fix, try quick wrench or g''ol WD40 on bushings and inserts. teflon iserts/spacers might be a long term cure.
