I have a 2007 Tahoe LS and i just renewed/upgraded to the Directions & Connections plan on OnStar. In order to use the turn-by-turn nav and eNav from mapquest.com i need the Generation 7.0 or newer OnStar hardware. I called up OnStar and they said that I only have the Generation 6.1 hardware. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to upgrade to the newer hardware and about how much it would cost me. Truthfully, its not that big of a deal because i can still get verbal driving directions anytime i want, but i''m still curious about upgrading my system. Also, does anyone know if having an aftermarket radio (w/ the OnStar-compatible wiring harness, non-Bose) will affect the possibility of upgrading to the newest onstar hardware?
