I''m going to bring up this post once again, to see if all the talk back in March and earlier ever resulted in anyone successfully doing or finding out if you can switch your second row bench seats in a Tahoe to factory bucket seats? I can see three bolts in the floor holding onto a bracket that the seats are secured to. Not sure if you need a whole new bracket that fits into the bolts, do something new or ??? I''ve got a 2006 Tahoe LS, and have located the seat..... The dealers...plural...are no help. I''m about to call Chevy, but remembered how helpful the forum was before. Any thoughts? BTiddleybocker

Thanks In2Pro. Great suggestion. First one I tried was a funny result: They told me they work on "trucks," not cars. AG Van and Truck, a CHEVVY dealer, told me: "We work on trucks, that''s TRUCKS, not cars, c a r s. A Tahoe is a car." Very funny. I''ll keep trying the "truck" shops. Thanks. No answer yet, but I''ll keep trying..........

I''ll bet GM would be surprised to learn that a Tahoe is a "car".

99.99% dealers in my area use the same local shop for leather installations, assist step installations, wheel changouts, sound changes, etc. I went to the shop and they installed leather and did the changeout for the center console (from a jumpseat) on my LS. I watched them do a myriad of jobs while in their waiting room. My point is dealers may not do what you need done, but they all use shops that do. I found out by asking salespersonnel "if I want this or that done, who would you recommend?" Every salesperson I talked to at every dealer in two towns recommended the same shop. Good luck.
