I have made it a point to buy the factory manuals for every vehicle I have owned, they set you back about ~150 bucks but can save you ~1000''''''''s in doing your own repairs or even knowing what the the repairs involve if you ahve it done somewhere else. ~150 is dirt cheap for the information you get, you pay that much for a dealer diagnosis. That brings up a  good question that maybe Shawnvw can answer being a certified GM Tech...
