ok, i have a 94 silverado and i notice every once in a while when i turn my headlights on, the gauge lights dont come on with them..then i check that 20 amp fuse and it is blown...ive already replaced it three times in the last month...i always have accessories pluged into my cigerett lighter so i thought that might be it, but i dont know...or i thought it might be my sound system that ive put in since ive had the truck...but i have no idea, thats why im asking you guys, can you help me?

sounds like a short in the parking light circuit. Could be hard to trace down. I would start by checking the license plate light sockets. I have seen many of these cause a short

if you have a aftermarket stereo, make sure that the illumination wire in the wiring harness isn''''t shorting out.

I have a ''92 that had that happen.  I picked up a pack of 50 20 amp fuses.  There is a wire cluster inside the engine bay up against the firewall that my friend sprayed with dielectric spray which appears to have resolved the issue...  for now.  I had it happening before I installed an after market stereo.

What would happen is that I would turn on the headlights and my instrument panel and parking lights wouldn''t turn on and I would check the fuses and find the 20 amp fuse blown.  Prior to him spraying down that cluster, he checked all lights and other things but would still blow the fuse, until he sprayed that down and it hasn''t done it since...
