Hello guys, this is my first post here on this forum.

i am also new to Chevrolets (never owned one).   my in-laws own a 2002 Tahoe and a 2004 Z71 truck.

we are looking at replacing our tired, worn out Expedition (sorry to mentioned that here).  i would love to have a Tahoe (02-05) but funds are little tight right now.

we are looking at the Trailblazers.  i would love to get some feedback from some owners:

1)  our (ford) gets 12-13 around town and 16ish on the highway.  What kind of mileage can i expect from a TB?

2)  any major things to look for?  years or issues to be on look out for?

3)  i know the blazers had 4.3 v6 and TB has 4.2?  how is the power?  i know the blazers were were pretty w/ the 4.3.

thanks for any help!

We have a 2007 Trailblazer. We LOVE it. We got it off a repo with 11k on it. It now has 23k on it. The only issue we''ve had is the horn stopped working. We brought it in and they replaced the metal contact and it''s fine now. The only thing I''d try to improve on with it is the handling is a little bit sluggish. Most GM products have the almost floaty feeling to their steering if they''re RWD.

I had a 2003 Trailblazer that I loved.  I had to trade up to a Suburban due to heavy wear on the transmission from towing.  We towed a 2003 Fleetwood Utah CP for 3.5 years.

I enjoyed the compact SUV and the handling was fine.

When I took ownership of my used 2005 Suburban, it had Caddy centercaps. Come to find out....I had Escalade tires too! Roll out the Chevrolac Suburbalade! Needless to say, it has been fixed :)
