Looks like I'm the newbie from Illinois!  Have a question!

Have a 99' S-10 with the 4.3cu V6 and automatic>  Purchased used with 46,000 miles last October and have done little to it since.

Question:  What can I do to put a little more ZIP into the acceleration without ransoming my first born?  Since the 4.3 V6 started out as a v-8, has anyone ever shaved the heads and installed a modified cam?  The shift points will require resetting but that is a given!

Let me know your ideas!

Thanks,

aeronfour

i am always a fan of something like heads and cam....power adders like that cause elss wear and tear on the engine, although when installed correctly, forced induction isnt that bad on an engine..
