Dont ever buy a kit from www.plasmagarage.com The wiring is backwards, the bulb base for the correct bulb fitment "doesnt fit." It was a royal pain in the A** to install. But I got them in after some trial and error, rewiring and 3 hours later. They look real good. After I re-aligned and adjusted the beams, they light up the whole road and out to the sides. I bought the 6000K kit. They are bright white with a slight barley noticable hue of purple. IMO, they look awesome! I disabled the DRL's for bulb longevity. I will post some pictures as soon as I can find my camera, dont know what I did with it.  There is a huge color diffrence between the HID's and the high beams. Even through all the pain and hassle of installing it, I think it was worth it.

Waiting on the pics, man!

Gotta finish my lighting arsenal off with some low-beam and fog light HIDs!

The first picture was taken not long after start up, so some of the color goes away as the light increases in intensity. It was 4:00 am pitch black outside, they really light up the area. Also you can really notice a diffrence in color between the HID''s and the garage lights. Those are flourescant <(sp?) white bulbs, not yellow bug bulbs. The second picture is kinda crappy, sorry. It was taken from the inside of my truck, I have a steep driveway so thats why the light seems to not go very far. It just shows how dark it is outside and how white the HID''s are. Pretty good for a 6000K kit. Obviously you would get better light output from a lower kelvin temp, but all in all I think they faired pretty well. And the HID''s actually do well in the stock halogen reflector housing, assuming you aim them properly. Chevrolet made it easy to aim though, A royal pain to take things apart to get to the bulbs, but easy to aim. Theres a white plastic screw on top of the housing you can adjust either clockwise or counterclockwise with a philips screwdriver to make the beam go up and down.

You will be intrested to know this....Very important for ALL NBS SILVERADO OWNERS. The wiring wasnt backwards on the kit. The wiring colors were backwards from standard on the truck??? All the times I wired up stereos, amps, speakers and alarms BLACK always meant ground. Well in a Chevy, Black is positive, at least on the headlight socket?? I was beating my self up trying to figure out why the dam* thing wouldnt work, I tryed everything. Ive had a kit not work before because I didnt scratch all the paint off the grounding point. I did that. I knew I could send it back anyways cause I had already broken off one retaining prong on each of the bulb bases and dremled the others down so I had to alter the bulb bases to make them fit into the housings and lock in, so I figured what the heck, might as well start switching wires around. LOL! Ta da! They worked. (Black=positive, yellow=ground) Which is the exact opposite for hot and ground in radio installs *scratches his head*
