My work van has the Vortec 5.7 motor in it and has a stuck valve in one of the heads--wondering what heads besides rebuilt replacements will fit on this motor...Looking for the cheapest alternative if there is one...And if anyone knows of any good places for rebuilt heads, that would be great too. Thanks in advance.

How many miles on the motor? Might be more economical to put a junk yard motor in. They are fairly easy to swap. You should be able to get a junk yard motor for around $500 give or take $100-200.

To me it would all depend on how many miles are on the vehicle and how extensive the damage is. I don''t think I would put the time/money into all of that work if I had over 300,000 miles on the motor. I would just get one with lower miles and know that the rest of the motor isn''t going to go to hell as well.
Maybe just me.
