I need help with a wiring issue. I have a 2007 Crew cab Classic. On my 2000 x cab I wired my radar detector to the dome light wiring.
I have tried this with the 2007, without success. I found the hot wire and grounded to the roof sheet metal witha self taping screw. The detector works until the truck is turned off. When restarting the detector will not come on until I turn the dome light on. When I turn the dome light off the detector stays on until the engine is switched off.
I can only guess that it has something do do with the fact the interior lights come on when opening the door and fade off after statr up.
Any ideas?
