I tried to log on to the forum yesterday and the day before and got some weird message. A couple of weeks ago I tried to log on and my virus protection software directed me away from the forum immediately. Has someone hacked into the site or something?

Its fixed now. If your anti-virus is still going crazy then you need to reboot it.MAYBE it will not happen again.

I checked the McAfee website and it said that the message I got from the software was because there was phishing software on the site I was visiting (www.chevroletforum.com) . Looks like somebody did hack into it.

Oh we know that for sure. a lot of the AFU forums were hacked and injected with SQL.

Its a virus injected by a hacker. Its supposed to scramble HTML codes I think, but it can also cause your cache to fill up rapidly and slow your browser down.

The software McAfee stopped was software that's designed to steal all of your personal information.

Scan your computer and get rid of it. I'm pretty sure its safe to say the threat is gone now.
