I am having a reoccuring problem with my Malibu... I've had it a little over 2 years and this problem has happened twice so far. The first time, it corrected itself somehow and now it's doing it again... When I try to pump gas, the gas pump thinks my tank is full (when I know FOR SURE that it's not). Gas will spew back out of my car or the pump kicks off... My husband has been driving it a few times to the coal mine where he works and gets it pretty muddy sometimes. I have noticed that the first time this problem happened, he was driving it to work and getting it very muddy... I know there are vents and hoses that allow the air pressure in the tank to be regulated.. I was wondering if there may be a vent or something on the outside of the fuel tank that could be stopped up because of the mud? If so, where would the vent be located?? Thanks for the help!!
