Who can figure it out?!?!? There IS a correct answer. you place 3 men single file,one behind the other all facing the same direction.
the rear man can see the 2 guys in front of him,the middle man can see the 1 guy in front of him,the front man can see no one.
you have 5 hats you show them,3 red hats,2 white hats.
you blndfold the men,and randomly place 1 hat on each guys head.
you hide the other 2 hats,and remove the blindfolds.
all 3 men are truthful.
the rear man says.."i don't know what color hat i have on"
the middle man says.."I don't know what color hat i have on"
the front man says.."I know what color hat i have on"
what color hat is the front man wearing?

This is a tough one. The answer lies in the beginning where you say the man in the back see the front 2 men. So if he sees what hat each is wearing, and he doesn't know what color he's wearing...it means that the other two guys are each wearing different color hats, so he wasn't able to deduce that he has a white hat on for example.
So this means there are either 2 red hats not worn, or 1 red hat and 1 white hat not worn. It's impossible to figure out what color each has on just by the information given.

What I did was reduce the riddle to an simple matter of patterns, since the third man could only see the two hats in front of him and could not determine what color he was wearing, that means the hats on the first two me were either RED RED, RED WHITE, or WHITE RED, and could not be WHITE WHITE. Assuming that the middle man can deduce the possible patterns from what the thrid man said, It only leaves the RED RED, and RED WHITE patterns, because if the middle man sees the first man wearing a white hat then he would know that he was wearing a red hat himself, which he did not state. Since the only possible patterns left both require the first man to be wearing a red hat, it's only logical to say that he is wearing a RED HAT.
