Had an interesting experience with some mortars last summer. I had a bunch that I had bought in Ohio and while in storage (I believe) they got some moisture in them. Well after I lit one it went up about 15 ft and exploded, and these were the big ones that get like 50 ft in diameter!!! Needless to say I had an interesting time lighting the rest.

How about dumping coleman fuel directly from the can on to an open fire.
Coolest thing I ever saw, the flame traveled back into the can and blew it apart while I was still holding it.
I can still count to 10

Dumbest thing I ever did by far was one day my friend and I borrowed his dads new 4wheeler without permission and got it burried in mud in the woods behind our neighborhood. I was in the volunteer fire dept at the time and got the bright idea to go get the booster truck and drive it back in the woods to pull out the 4wheeler with the winch. The booster truck was a 4x4 Ford F-350 with a 6" lift and winch with 35" mud terrains, with a pump and water tank, we used it for off road grass fires. Well, I went and got it, without permission, again, and I was on a 40 year old asphalt road that led back into the woods toward the creek and the road collapsed under the weight of the truck, the whole truck fell into the hole. After we winched it out, then got the 4 wheeler out, we had to find a new way to get back out of the woods cause the road had a huge hole in it now. So we started cutting down trees and making our own path. Well a huge rain storm blew in and it started getting muddy. We ended up in an open field behind some houses and we thought all we have to do is get through this field and we are home free. So we put it in 4x4 and punched it, got maybe 50ft and the truck buried to the doors and there was nothing to winch to. We were screwed. I had to call the chief. 2 regular tow trucks, 2 specialty tow trucks, a big rig tow truck a duece and a half and a $550 towing bill later it was finally out.....The whole ordeal took like 6 hours. It was the worst day ever!

Good thing there wasn't a grass fire somewhere...the town woulda been S.O.L. during that ordeal.

Since most of these post involve fireworks, i"ll join the ranks of all you pyro''''''''s out there. lol I heard that you can optimize the performance and the sound of a rather large slightly explosive bundle of fireworks (If you know what I mean) if you put it in a culvert.  To make a long story short, my neighbors did not have a septice system so all of their "waste" ran through their ditch and that was the culvert I rather stupidly chose.  In addition to being literally covered in crap, the culvert caved in and backed up the ditch giving us a wonderful odor for the next few weeks until we could change the culvert.
