Has anyone installed an 110v AC outlet into there vehicle? I have the external type but have been thinking about integrating it into the center console and hiding the actual plug(s) behind the drink holder flip down for the back seats…
You would think GM would have already started doing this on vehicles with the entertainment centers with AUX / game inputs.

I did it on my Blazer. Here is my write-up... maybe it'll help you get some idea of how it needs to be done...

Excellent write up! that is exactly what I was thinking with the exception of hiding the receptical behind the drink holder door when its closed. I have a couple of 500watt inverter I picked up at Sams club that should be perfect for the setup. should be enough to run the the Playstation or charge/run the laptop

Recomend that you check it out with the different things hooked up to it to make sure that it will carry the load.  Sometimes the ratings aren't all that accurate, especially overseas stuff.

the 500watt one I have used for some time, even ran a heating pad  on it on a trip to  the coast a couple of times, yeah i know thats not what its intended to run but it did work!
I think the other point to remember is to put it on a switch so its not running all the time, it has a small fan but keeping the diodes and the fan lit for any amount of time with the ignition off is going to kill the battery quickly..

I'm not into changing too much on my Hoe's electrical system, but I have to admit that that is the most professional looking install I've seen on this forum. Excellent work EuroGold.

Thanks. Happy to help.

My install isn't as clean as I would like it to be, if I get my switch panel fixed up sometime soon, I'll have a place to put the switch instead of hiding it at the edge of the console.  And before anyone asks...YES, that 4 gauge wire does have a fuse on it!
