hello everyone i have a 89" chevy G20 custom with a 305 cub inch engine, when i turn on headlights the engine shuts down as well as interior lights and dash, however the parking lights come on, it will also shut down if i toggle the high beams control ( high beam/ turn signal controller ) thanks everyone for any suggestions

btw i forgot to mention prior to this happening we had to jiggle ( high beam/ turn signal controller ) to get the headlights to come on !

You have to be patient to get an answer. Please understand that people take time out of their busy schedule to help people out on the forum.
Also if you have anything to add to your posts, please use the edit function instead of double posting.

It sounds like your multi-function and ignition switches are malfunctioning or are shorting out between the two. Both are located on the steering column.
