Corvette Gas Tank - 5/10/2008 4:08:01 PM

I'm thinking about geting a Corvette, not an '08 or new one, since I'm still a teen and I wouldn't have the money to pay for it. I was gonna get a used one, but before I did, I was wondering how many gallons a tank gets.

Can anyone help me out here?

I found some site that said a Corvette gets 37 gallons to the tank.

Or is it different?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Corvette forum.  My '73 holds 18 gal.

Just checked and according to Edmunds, a '08 also hold 18 gal.

The mid-years (63-67) had a big tank option for the coupes that held 36 gal.  Very rare as it was primarily for road racing.

Do a lot of research on which ever model and year you are interested in before buying.  Come back if you have any questions.

I thing '68-'74 were 18 gal and then when they put a bladder in the tank ('75 I think), I believe the capacity went up a little.
