CaptTrevStarr -> Rear block removal on tow package silverado (5/8/2008 2:46:33 PM)

hello...ive done some searching and havent quit found the answer i am lookin for....i have an 04 silverado 5.3 reg short box with towing package....lookin to removal the 2 inches block thats under the rear springs...my question is...if i was to remove that block do i run the risk of ruining any drivetrain?....i do know that it will change the angle of the axel but is it goin to be enough to hurt anything?

thank you
Trev

if it is a angled block it will change the driveline angle but i dont think they do that till it get's about 3 inches thick. the biggest thing that will happen is that it will really hit the ground when you load the truck ,they put it in their to give it a rake unloaded and lay down close to level when you load the truck .[8|]
