Good day Guys Im Anfernee WIlliams,:) Last week I traded in my truck for a car, I figured that no only would I save on gas but I would save on insurance as well. My truck was a 2002 F150 4X4 and the car I got was a Mitsubishi Galant. Much to my surprise when I called the insurance company they told me it would cost more to insure! I guess they consider this car a luxury car! How much BS is that?? So Im planning to change my insurance company.. I have been surfing the net for good insurance, i came into http://www.insurancepaylite.com has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on this? or can anyone tell me a good insurance company to check out that may be cheaper or won't consider a Galant a luxury car? Thank you in advance.

Check around with different insurance companies. I've got 9 vehicles under My policy ( State Farm ) with full coverage and it costs Me an average of $35.00 per month per vehicle. I live in the 7th or 8th largest city in the United States ( San Antonio, Texas ) so it's nut because I live in a " Rural " area. Good luck. Thanks for listening.

Just because you go from a truck to a car does not mean your insurance will go down. The rates are more heavily weighted on the safety of the vehicle not on the value or type. If you are in an accident with the f-250 and are in the same accident with the Gallant odds are that you will be safer in the truck. I costs an insurance company alot more to pay for your life/health than it does to replace any vehicle.

Very true Mrlong, It also has to do with the avalibility of replacement parts, there are a lot more ford trucks around than gallants. It is weighted more on safety, but cost to repair plays a role in pemiums, You are more likely to total a gallant in a less sever crash than a truck.

If you are interested only in low rates, there are many small and "off-shore" companies that will fit the bill. If you can afford it, the bigger, established, reputable companies are the way to go. I am with State Farm and they are awesome. I have have also had Farmers and 20th (now 21st) Century in the past and they were also good. You don't really know until you need them at a trying time, but it's all about customer service and how they deliver what they promise in the policy. I vote for the top companies for my dollar. The great thing about State Farm is having an agent you can talk to for advice.
