I have an 07 LTZ 5.3 and I thought it ran great. In all honesty it runs much better than both of the 2007 Tahoes I have had. Almost seems like a completely different powerplant. I know the Tahoe weighs a bit more, but my silverado with the same engine and transmission runs much better. I guess my Silverado could just be the rare jewel in the bunch.

I can hardly give my 07 5.3 NBS any gas when turning from a stop without spinning em (straight aways are fine, unless its been raining, then they spin like crazy), I assume smoking wouldn't be a problem when doing donuts. Even at half throttle I'm spinning, on a dry 90 degree day in south florida. Completely stock with the General tires, 17". In the first week I was making a tight turn (almost a U turn) and it had been raining, but I think i ran through a puddle of something, cuz I damn near did a 270, got to 180 and felt her slippin, left off the gas and went another 60 or so degrees.
