dome light OFF

i posted this on the lumina sections but I guess the 96 and newer luminas go here? is there a way to make it so the dome lights turn off instantly instead of fading out? I have a 1997 lumina sedan rye

Thats they way it is man. Do you need it changed for an alarm install?
