ok the thing with that video as i have seen it many times on youtube. the tundra had it in 4x4 and did you notice the backround? its a toyota dealership. the person in the silverado wasnt tryin hard enough. if you could see his tires hardly spun and he let off a lot. the video is a joke and the silverado can take that waste of metal for a tug. i dont like it when people honestly think that the tundra can pwn the silverado or f150. and the f150 can tow a lot too. im a chey guy first ford guy second

This type of marketing (chaining bumpers together) makes for a pretty impressive spectacle especially to the average observer. But the cards are easily stacked in favor of either opponent depending on the desired outcome. In this skewed contests case the discrepancies are painfully (to the point of being silly) obvious.

If the Toyota product has superior traction and power then why not lock both trucks in 4-LOW with their largest V8 taking on GM’s best (V-Max), both equipped with the best traction devices offered in GM’s case the G80 and in Toyota’s the LSD rear axles and then put a pro GM driver in the cab of the Chevy and the likes behind the wheel of the Toy, the outcome would likely be much different and that’s precisely why they didn’t do it.
In the end would the best truck be the one that could pull the other???? No, there is no correlation and that’s why GM elected not to use similar tug-of-war footage taken when the Duramax was first launched.

Man I love Dave, he burns people in such an intellegent and kind way.  He more of re-educated, rather than talked trash.  But yes, you can clearly see the toyota turning all four tires and the chevy spinning the back tires forward, but the front tires were rolling backwards.  The video fools the simple minded american car bashers, thats all.

I'm going to go find a Tundra and pull it around a parking lot for awhile.. That'll show em.. Depending on how that goes I may even find a Tacoma after.. And while I'm at it perhaps round off the afternoon with a half ton Ram and finally cooling down by doing a couple laps while dragging a Civic or something..
